ADM 932: This course provides the knowledge and procedures needed by assessor’s office employees involved with identification, valuation and assessment of severed mineral interests. Course topics include the history of severed mineral assessment in Colorado, a review of pertinent court cases, the discovery of severed mineral interests through a detailed review of recorded conveyance documents, a review of title conveyance issues that pertain to severed minerals, the distinguishing of severed mineral interests from royalty interests, and the valuation of severed mineral interests.
