APR 461: This Natural Resources course focuses on the discovery, listing, classification, and valuation of properties containing minerals other than oil and gas. It includes discussion of constitutional and statutory definitions and requirements regarding Natural Resource properties. Various resources are explored for gathering and documenting information necessary for proper classification and valuation. Applications of the three approaches to value are presented with emphasis on natural resource valuation formulas using the income approach.
